Kendo - Purpose and Method

Kendo 剣道, means 'the way of the sword'; the martial system which was created out of the sword techniques used by the samurai warriors of feudal Japan (prior 1868).

Our curriculum follows the guidelines issued by
Danish Traditional Kendo Federation.

In our Dojo the individual student’s evolvement progress in interaction with the other students’ and we are in this matter mutual dependent on each other. The student does in this case have obligation towards the community in the group and vice versa.

Very few Kendo Dojo outside Japan are interested in preserving the ko-budo however on the website of Directory of Traditional Kendo / Classical Kendo one will recognize examples of these groups.
